GameCube Demonstration Test Disc

Picture

When the GameCube was released in November 2001, Servicers found themselves without a way to test any possibly defective new systems that might make their way into their shops. Unfortunately, the development of an official GameCube Service Disc had been delayed and was not completed in time for the launch. In mid December; to allow the Service Centers to test GameCube products, Nintendo decided to ship them a temporary disc to use until the official disc could be manufactured and distributed. GameCube Kiosk Demonstration Discs were sent out to Servicers...these are the same discs that were first sent out to retail stores. The case insert is printed out on a regular sheet of paper in black and white which reads:

          Demonstration Test Disc
          Release October 2001

          NOT FOR RESALE
